Lightsys GSM/GPRS Module
The GSM/GPRS module is an easy to add plug-in module that enables the system to communicate over the GPRS/GSM networks for reporting, control and programming. It can be used as the primary communication or as a back up for the IP or PSTN communications in case of communication failure.
- Communication: The GSM/GPRS module provides wireless communication capabilities for the LightSYS alarm system. It uses GSM networks for voice and SMS communication and GPRS for data transmission.
- Remote Monitoring: Enables remote monitoring and control of the LightSYS alarm system via mobile networks. This allows users to receive alerts, status updates, and notifications directly on their mobile devices.
- Backup Communication: Acts as a backup communication channel in case the primary communication (such as landline or internet) is disrupted. This ensures that the alarm system remains operational and can transmit signals even during outages.
- Integration: Integrates seamlessly with the LightSYS alarm system, enhancing its functionality by adding wireless communication capabilities. It typically slots into the alarm panel and is configured through the system’s programming interface.
- Security: Enhances security by providing redundant communication options. It ensures that alarm signals and notifications can be reliably transmitted to monitoring stations or directly to users, even in challenging conditions.
- Compatibility: Designed specifically for use with the LightSYS alarm system, ensuring compatibility and optimized performance within the system’s architecture.
Reporting events to monitoring stations can be done over voice, SMS or GPRS using the RISCO IP Receiver. Events can be reported in SIA/IP, SIA and Contact ID monitoring protocols.
Using the GSM/GPRS module, end users can obtain system control using DTMF or SMS In addition, users can enjoy peace of mind by receiving real time SMS, voice messages and email alerts.
The GSM/GPRS module also supports two- way voice communication which is beneficial for elderly care, allowing two way communication with users in times of emergency
